GST amount = taxable value x GST rate / 100. For inclusive GST, taxable value = total / (1 + rate / 100).
For exclusive GST, tax equals amount multiplied by the GST rate divided by 100. For inclusive GST, taxable value equals total price divided by one plus the GST rate.
If a product costs Rs. 1,000 before GST and the rate is 18%, the GST is Rs. 180 and the final amount is Rs. 1,180.
